Super Steel, LLC expands into New Mequon, WI Facility
Super Steel, LLC is pleased to announce its move into a new 29-acre, 220,000 sq. ft. manufacturing campus located in the Mequon Industrial Park, in Mequon, WI. The move is expected to be completed by year end and includes the addition of several new key Super Steel team members and a host of new manufacturing capabilities and services. In addition to the company’s existing full-service metal fabricating and engineering platform, Super Steel had added in-house large format/high tonnage equipment including 12′ x 30′ batch powder painting system, a 60′ wet paint booth, a 60′ blasting booth, a 1000T x 22′ press brake, a 72″ x 108″ travel boring bar, and a 12′ x 47′ plasma/oxy-fuel burning table. The new facility also has high tonnage (30T) crane capability throughout the manufacturing footprint.
Jake Weber, Super Steel’s Director of Sales & Marketing, said “Our new facility and all of the related capital equipment investments are key elements of our strategy to better serve our customers with more capacity, capability, agility and to be more competitive in the marketplace.” Furthermore, Jake noted, “The new Mequon facility will better support the growing needs of our recent acquisition of Sabre Manufacturing.”
There will be many process improvements gained from moving out operations and Super Steel, LLC is adding capabilities that will increase the services they can offer to support their customers. Adding these capabilities also improves their competitiveness by giving them the ability to shorten lead times and lower costs, according to Dale Willis, Director of Operations.
