The Story of Super Steel
In 1923, Super Steel was founded in Milwaukee with an idea of manufacturing a new type of metal basement window, as well as metal fireproof windows and doors. Over the years, Super Steel gradually began manufacturing metal cabinets, switchboards, air coolers for generators, and even weapons during World War II.
Throughout the decades, Super Steel has continued to grow – so much so that in 2021, we made a pivotal decision to move and consolidate operations to our 300,000 ft2 fully integrated campus in Mequon, Wisconsin. This move has deepened our commitment to our employees, customers, and community in Southeastern Wisconsin. Plans are in the works to expand and further optimize our 30-acre property for further expansion.

How do you know if a new supplier will provide a quality product on time? Our New Product Introduction process makes it easy, even for complex projects.
Super Steel has developed a detailed process and utilizes a dedicated team of manufacturing professionals to meet this challenge. We call it New Product Introduction. Attention to detail, constant communication, and our team’s commitment to executing the plan are hard at work every step of the way to create a successful New Product Introduction.
Each New Product Introduction provides a holistic strategy that dictates how we will make a product and ensures that the entire production process goes smoothly. With every new product we introduce, we meticulously inspect 100% of the parts and the process before any product sees the production line. We determine and implement extensive engineering, planning, and quality checklists to ensure the success of every product we manufacture. From the kick-off meeting to reviews and evaluations, we make sure we get it right every time. When we find issues, we correct them on the front end. This guarantees a smoother road to production in the long run.
As part of our ISO registration, we ensure that we can deliver on our promises. This is one of the many ways we do just that.
