In 2019, Super Steel, LLC acquired the Sabre Division of Manitex International.
Founded in 1923, Super Steel LLC has been a world-class supply partner with the agility and capabilities to provide optimized product solutions at the expected quality and delivery requirements. Mantix-Sabre was a Knox, Indiana-based manufacturer of engineered specialty tanks serving the Energy, Environmental, Industrial, and Wastewater marketplace. The transaction has brought approximately 50 jobs to Super Steel’s Mequon, Wisconsin facility.
“I am excited to join the Super Steel team and look forward to the integration of quality Sabre products and exceptional manufacturing capabilities of Super Steel,” remarked Don Bihun, VP of Sabre Manufacturing. “Super Steel brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in many areas, but the one that I believe will have the most impact is in the assembly and automation of the Sabre Products. With this capability for larger and more complex builds, Sabre will broaden our offerings to our existing customers and will expand into new markets.”
With the precision, capabilities, and agility to provide optimized product and supply solutions, Super Steel is a strategic world-class partner to leading Original Equipment Manufacturers providing a wide range of products from complex fabrications through turn-key finished assemblies.
Jason Gaare, President of Super Steel, commented, “We are looking forward to leveraging our manufacturing capabilities to include our first foray into branded products of our own, having been a trusted contract manufacturer to so many global original equipment manufacturers (OEM). The Sabre product line is very much aligned with our domain expertise, and we would anticipate being able to offer exceptional manufacturing, service, and delivery platform to Sabre’s current and future customers.”
